Photo Filters?

Am I right in thinking that you can use normal photo filters on video cameras.

Also what's the difference between a normal polarising filter and a circular one.

Circular filters I belive are for use on autofocus lenses, and linear filters are for use on manual focus lenses (which is good because they are cheaper)

As for normal filters, I asked this question a while ago in another forum because I was interested in using filters on my super 8 film camera. Apprantly you can use the filters on video cameras and cine and still cameras.
Good filters are the polarising filters, and you said and the 81 warming series.

But don't forget, just set up your white balance as you would normally and then fit the filters.
